ATTENTION FLAG-WAVING MORONS!

Okay idiots, pay attention; it is time to face up to reality. I want you to go into your bathroom and look yourself in the eyes in the mirror.

Repeat after me.

“There were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq”.
“There were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq”.
“There were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq”.
“There were” … Hey YOU, in Kansas, no fair gazing past your reflection at the far wall. This is serious.

This is a twelve-step program and you have to get past the first step TODAY, and the first step is to admit to yourself that you were WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG to support an invasion of Iraq because you were told they had weapons of mass destruction.

You waved that plastic made-in-China flag in front of your face to the point where it was acting as a red, white, and blue blindfold behind whose comforting blindness you eagerly cheered sending other people’s children off to kill and be killed in Iraq. I hope those free hot dogs at those sponsored rallies tasted really good, because other people paid for them in blood.

3. I've discovered that people
who believe this lie are nearly impossible to dislodge from their fantasy.

It's exactly like when I talk to my 3 year old nephew. I keep telling him that his grandfather is my father and he just lacks the mental ability to grasp the concept.

"No he's my grandpa"
"Yeah, I know. But he's also my daddy"
"No. He's not! He's my grandpa"
"But he's also - Ahhh okay fine. He's your grandpa."

and then I pat him on the head and tell him to go play with his toys.

From now on when I meet an ignorant freeper I'm just going to pat them on the head and tell them to go play with their SUV.

5. When you refer to the freeper type as a "flag waving moron"
it helps to support their claim that liberals hate America.

I prefer "uninformed moron."

10. well I wouldn't discount it entirely
(that Al Quaida is used as a cutout by the Mossad and/or other western intelligence agencies).

From an Agence France-Presse Story:

Palestinian security forces have arrested a group of Palestinians for collaborating with Israel and posing as operatives of Osama bin Laden's al-Qaeda terrorist network, a senior official said yesterday.

The arrests come two days after Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon charged al-Qaeda militants were operating in Gaza and in Lebanon.

"The Palestinian Authority arrested a group of collaborators who confessed they were working for Israel, posing as al-Qaeda operatives in the Palestinian territories," said the official, on condition of anonymity.

BY WAY OF DECEPTION
Israel pulls a fast one – and gets caught

<snip>

Those numbers are bound to get worse as news of the latest Israeli caper hits the headlines. It really wasn't such a hot idea for the Mossad to recruit Palestinians into a phony Al Qaeda cell in Gaza. It was too easy to trace the cell-phone calls and emails back to Israel, as well as Germany and Lebanon. Aside from that, however, there was something a little fishy about their recruitment methods, such as this message cited by ABC News (via Reuters):

"After receiving reports from your brothers in the area about your good morals and Islamic beliefs...we appeal to you to work within the ranks of the mujahideen (Muslim fighters) and we will support you with money and weapons. Call us at this number...and identify yourself as Abu Anas. The telephone call should be made between three and five in the afternoon... After you read the letter and understand its content, burn it.

"(Signed), Your brother and humble slave of God, Osama bin Laden."

Recruits to this faux-Al Qaeda were given weapons (most of them didn't work) and money provided by "Palestinian collaborators with Israel," three of whom are in a Palestinian jail. According to PLO "preventive security" chief Rashid Abu Shbak, some of the money "was transferred from bank accounts in Jerusalem or Israel."

These revelations come in the wake of Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's claim that Al Qaeda is behind recent attacks on Israel, and is present in the occupied territories and Lebanon. A phony "Al Qaeda" website has been set up, which we are supposed to believe is the voice of the Evil One in cyberspace: its recent pronouncement that a Palestinian "branch" of Al Qaeda has been formed was duly reported by the Washington Post, which also transcribed the lamentation of one Rachel Bronson, director of Middle East Studies at the Council on Foreign Relations:

http://www.antiwar.com/justin/j120902.html

Israel does have a history of using false fronts to make the Arabs look bad going back to the Lavon affair of 1954 when Isreali agents were used to launch bombing attacks in Egypt and lay the blame at the door of Muslim terrorists. So that they would use Al Quaida to do the same thing today would not come as a surprise to me. And after all the so-called motto of the Mossad (according to ex-Mossad agent Victor Ostrovsky) is "By Way of Deception Thou Shalt do War." (Not necessarily saying that all so-called "Al Quaida" operatives are all Isreaeli/Mossad agents).

In July 1954 Egypt was plagued by a series of bomb outrages directed mainly against American and British property in Cairo and Alexandria. It was generally assumed that they were the work of the Moslem Brothers, then the most dangerous challenge to the still uncertain authority of Colonel (later President) Nasser and his two-year-old revolution. Nasser was negotiating with Britain over the evacuation of its giant military bases in the Suez Canal Zone, and, the Moslem Brothers, as zealous nationalists, were vigorously opposed to any Egyptian compromises.

It therefore came as a shock to world, and particularly Jewish opinion, when on 5 October the Egyptian Minister of the Interior, Zakaria Muhieddin, announced the break-up of a thirteen-man Israeli sabotage network. An 'anti-Semitic' frame-up was suspected.

Indignation increased when, on 11 December, the group was brought to trial. In the Israeli parliament, Prime Minister Moshe Sharett denounced the 'wicked plot hatched in Alexandria ... the show trial which is being organized there against a group of Jews who have fallen victims to false accusations and from who mit seems attempts are being made to extract confessions of imaginary crimes, by threats and torture . . .'49 The trade union newspaper Davar observed that the Egyptian regime 'seems to take its inspiration from the Nazis' and lamented the 'deterioration in the status of Egyptian Jews in general'.50 For Haaretz the trial 'proved that the Egyptian rulers do not hesitate to invent the most fantastic accusations if it suits them'; it added that 'in the present state of affairs in Egypt the junta certainly needs some diversions'.51 And the next day the .7erusalem Post carried this headline: 'Egypt Show Trial Arouses Israel, Sharett Tells House. Sees Inquisition Practices Revived.'

The trial established that the bombings had indeed been carried out by an Israeli espionage and terrorist network. This was headed by Colonel Avraharn Dar --alias John Darling-- and a core of professionals who had set themselves up in Egypt under various guises. They had recruited a number of Egyptian Jews; one of them was a young woman, Marcelle Ninio, who worked in the offices of a British company. Naturally, the eventual exposure of such an organization was not going to improve the lot of the vast majority of Egyptian Jews who wanted no-thing to do with Zionism. There were still at least 50,000 Jews in Egypt; there had been something over 60,000 in 1947, more than half of whom were actually foreign nationals. During the first Arab-Israeli war of 1948, the populace had some times vented its frustration against them, and some were killed in mob violence or by terrorist bombs. In spite of this, and of the revolutionary upheaval which followed four years later, few Jews-including the foreign nationals-left the country, and fewer still went to Israel. A Jewish journalist insisted: 'We, Egyptian Jews, feel secure in our homeland, Egypt.'5

11. I'm not a flag waving moron....
or a Republican. I'm an independent who's voting for Kerry. I'm voting for Kerry b/c of his domestic agenda, not the war on terror or the Iraqi war. I also don't want Bush packing the court w/ religious right wing justices.

Saddam had no WMDs, despite our intelligence to the contrary and our mistaken belief in the anti-Saddam Chalabi sect. Fair enough.

But, he did want the sanctions removed and, once the sanctions were removed, he had the infrastructure in place and the intent to procure them to ward off any attack by the US. That came out in today's report. In order to get the sanctions removed, he started paying off UN, French and Russian officials and journalists.

So, if Saddam had stayed in power and gotten his way, he would eventually started an aggressive WMD program.

Should we have waited until after Saddam has nukes and chemical weapons? Do you understand how many American lives such a war would be lost if we waited until he had those weapons? The Demos bitch about a 1000 lives - we would lose 10's of 1000's of lives if we waited.

Or is the answer to just put our head in the sand, hope Saddam doesn't hurt us (or team up w/ a terrorist organization to hurt us) and withdraw to our shores.

Face it - Kerry is a pacifist. Always has been; always will be. When Saddam invaded Kuwait, that wasn't even the right time to go to war. There is nothing inherently dishonest about being a pacifist, but he has to own up to it, so we can then judge whether that is the right course for this country. There are risks and pitfalls to an isolationist/pacifist policy and they deserve to be debated.
