The jobs figures.. Can we "assume" that the guardsmen and reservists |
|
had jobs that they left behind?? Shouldn't THOSE jobs "left behind" be SUBTRACTED from the jobs growth picture??
Those are jobs that are "promised" to soldiers who will re-claim them (hopefully), so it's not really accurate to count the "replacement" workers as "jobs gained"..
Is there a source that has a "count" on them??

1. You might be on to something here. |
|
Ship the reservist to Iraq and fill the jobs left behind and WOW! Job growth.

2. The plan is to ship the jobs overseas and still count them as job gains |

|
layoffs for AT&t, 74,00 and BofA, 4,500 This administration continues to taut monthly jobs gained as net. That is another lie. He cannot boast net job gains.

4. I'm not sure how accurate it is to count as employed |
|
those who've had their hours and/or wages dramatically reduced, either.
It seems somehow dishonest to count these statistics in black and white/employed or unemployed when so many I know have found their situation dramatically altered for the worse. Many have had their hours cut to the point where they and their families are no longer eligible for benefits through their work, they are sorely pressed to meet their financial obligations, and homelessness is a heartbeat away.
But technically, statistically, yes...they're employed.

6. It should be quantified by job "worth" and fulltime/parttime |
|
You lose a $15 hr fulltime job with bennies .....and find TWO $7.00 hr jobs//no bennies..
That is NO GAIN

7. Remember, they started to count the military as part of the jobs picture |
|
I believe it was under Poppy, but it might have been under Saint Ron.
Had to prop up the rosy picture somehow.

8. Good Point SoCal....what we "overlook" and Bush Admin. "Mistates" |
|
SHOULD be looked at...When will we ever hear the truth...Geese, I hope after 11/1 a New Era Dawns.
Thanks for posting this...You know they are mis-representing Jobs, Employment, GDP, Interest Rates, Inflation...etc...so they own it all they think like a "dictatorship" they can report what they like that props them up.
But, doing this to the young women and men we sent into a war based on a LIE..really goes beyond a bunch of hyped stockbrokers playing with our pensions and jobs and lifes..it all fits together..but LIVES? Give me a break. Killing our young folks for this? Never...will I give up protesting this...as never will you...
