1. 8:30 CNBC.... look for 120-150K new jobs and 300k revised for the year
so they say...

6. This is aout one million jobs less than needed to maintain status quo...
And I already heard some cable morans talking about it as if that was an accomplishment.

Bush will say, "We're GROWING our economy. It's hard work."

2. They usually come out about midmorning EST.
Keep an eye out for the STOCK MARKET WATCH thread in LBN. Usually ozy posts this thread about 7AM EST.

THE EMPLOYMENT SITUATION: SEPTEMBER 2004

Non-farm payroll employment continued to trend upward in September, increasing
by 96,000, and the unemployment rate was unchanged at 5.4 percent, the Bureau of
Labor Statistics of the U.S. Department of Labor reported today. Over the prior
3 months, payroll employment rose by 103,000 on average. In September, modest
job gains occurred in a few service-providing industries.

How much more Bushit are the American people going to stand for from this administration? The economy is for all intents and purposes stalemated. If the Iraq war production is stopped, the U.S. economy will go into a nosedive and long recession worse than what we saw under Bush during the past 46 months. Kerry promises 10 million new jobs in his first term and also peace. I'm voting Kerry/Edwards.

Actually, the media already has the info. It's embargoed until 9. One of the wire services - AP, Reuters - is probably the earliest source you can access.

9. with AT&T laying 7,000 this month and bank of america laying off
thousands, I'm gonna be skeptical of any high numbers--the numbers may lie, but people know if they are having trouble getting a job or have lost one. Those figures don't lie at all.
