I need an idea. Billboard rental or Signs
I am thinking of renting a billboard here in Pinellas county. I need some ideas that would be short, hard hitting, and to the point. I am going to be looking into it today. If they won't allow me to put up a billboard then I will resort to small signs EVERYWHERE!! I was thinking something along the lines of:

BUSH LIED!
NO WMD FOUND!
VOTE FOR TRUTH THIS NOV. 2ND

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

1. Hi, neighbor
As I'm sure you're aware, lots of the billboards here in West Central Florida are owned by Clear Channel. They won't let PETA put up even their most subtle ad. Plus, the cost for a billboard is outlandish. Definitely worth looking into, though. Gotta try every avenue.

I've been flyering the local public transit kiosks, and Bush Lied bumper stickers aren't so easy to take off.

2. Well hello
I realize that most of the billboards are owned by ClearChannel. That is why I will try to go with a few of the lesser known companies. If price is too much, I might do a fund drive. I am willing to spend a pretty good chunk of money to get the message out. Plus I always have the option of a plethra smaller signs. Did you by chance see the billboard in downtown, that said, "Bush is the Anti-Christ"?

3. No. Way.
Where is that billboard? I'd be willing to drive from Tampa to see it.

7. Bush-Cheney 2004. One nation under water.
A spin off of the the "official" B-C board I saw the other say that said "Bush-Cheney 2004. One nation UNDER God."

I nearly puked.

One nation under foot.

These ideas are great! The commitment strong enough to want to buy a bloomin' billboard is astounding! BRAVO! BRAVA! You're putting your money where your mouth is so we don't have to put our children into his.

By the way, check (I think) www.freewayblogger.com - lots of good slogan ideas (and I just saw another one - "W"idowmaker), and they're an equally brilliant cost-effective mass marketing strategy.

I'm recommending this for the front page.

BTW, welcome to DU, Honor Where You Are!

9. From another DU post....
"This President forgot that the strongest, most important weapon in the war on terror is the truth."

Maybe edit to -

"President Bush forgot that the strongest, most important weapon in the war on terror is the truth."

- Questions Bush's moraility
- leaves Kerry's name out of it

10. Surrender Idiot Boy King
Somewhere on DU I saw an image posted that portrayed "The Administration" as the main characters from the Wizard of Oz. I forget who was supposed to be which character, but Bush was the scarecrow (no brain).

I'd put that image against a background of dark clouds, and then overlay that with the Wicked Witch on her broomstick spelling out "Surrender Idiot Boy King."

11. No more than 11 words
That is outdoor advertising wisdom...people are passing by fast, doing their hair, tuning the radio, slapping their kids, getting bj's...hopefully not all at once, but still. You cannot read more than eleven words on a billboard and have the message stick. The fewer the better.
