MSGOP hyped fake job numbers that "boost pResident Bush"
Oliver Willis grabbed a screen shot of the MSNBC main page blaring a boxed, "main story" headline:

300,000 NEW JOBS
In a boost for President Bush the US economy
created 200,000 new jobs last quarter, significantly
more than economists predicted

-----------

Yesterday, many of us caught the AP "pre-written" story of Bush's win on November 2. Willis sez, "You'd think the media spent all their spare times writing pro-Bush tales."

2. What is particularly funny
about this proclamation is that the minimum number of new jobs needed per quater to keep pace with new entrants into the work force is 450,000.

14. Yup
That's been the accepted baseline for the last few years, which is why this 99,000 (soon to be adjusted downward no doubt) is such an embarassment.

8. USSR vs US news WOE IS US!
Re the flash news on NBC and AP: Because of the successful establishment of CPNs - Corporate Propaganda Networks - in this country, we are in a situation worse than the USSR.

We have three major corporations shilling for the right wing. Why it is worse is that everyone knew that TV in the USSR came directly from the government - our traitor news corporations pretend that they are credible, genuine news gatherers and reporters - THEY ARE NOT! WE ARE IN A HEAP OF TROUBLE IN THIS COUNTRY!

12. McJobs are real jobs
don't discount people in that industry as not having REAL jobs. Perhaps the real test is JOBS YOU CAN SUPPORT YOURSELF AND YOUR FAMILY WITH.
