In California, "Arcata city council has passed a resolution calling for Bush to be impeached. The tiny coastal hamlet took a vote of council members late Wednesday and passed the resolution three-to-none. The council says Bush violated numerous international laws in waging war against Afghanistan and Iraq.The resolution states in part that Arcata should be seen as an example for other cities looking to rebuff 'the imperial goals of power-crazed leaders.'" The city tried to pass a similar resolution calling for the impeachment of Bush and vice president Dick Cheney last year, but failed.
