I live in Palm Beach County and several things have happened lately that I thought I'd share:
1. I answered an ad at a temp agency to register people to vote for $15 an hour. Since I've been unemployed for 3 years and want to help defeat Bush, I answered the ad and went in for an interview. The recruiter said that they were hired by a firm in Arizona to help Bush get elected and that they are "desperate" and are willing to pay. The job entailed approaching people on the street and "begging" them to vote for Bush. I declined the job on the grounds that I am a "liberal Democrat" and it would be against my principles.
2. A couple of nights ago, I was driving down A1A in a torrential downpour and, as I passed George Bush Boulevard, the traffic light was completely dark. All of the traffic lights in that area have been restored since the hurricanes, except that one. I always feel creepy passing that road, but on that night, I got shivers.
3. After 9-11 and the anthrax attacks, I noticed a LOT of black Lincoln Continentals with dark windows driving around Palm Beach County. Well, they're back! In the last 2 days, I seen about 6 of them and they are always occupied by one or two youngish males and they drive really fast.
The vibes in Florida are very strange now. I'm one of those HSPs (highly sensitive people), who pick up on things other people miss, and I feel so uneasy right now - nightmares every night, etc.
Can anyone explain or reassure me?

2. About that temp job... |
|
...shame we can't send someone over to see if the agency is instructing the temps to exchange votes for compensation.

The job the way you described it is not legal. |

You can register voters, but you can't tell them who to vote for. It is one or the other. And it is sad that people have to be paid to do what thousands of Democrats are doing voluntarily. Hell, that's the best sign right there.
But I think I know what you mean; and I am one who listens to the signals any portion of my body sends me--including dreams and "feelings".
I'm sorry to say that I think FL is going to have another disaster. Too many common sense signs of past history and present shenanigans means your senses are probably right.

I am also an HSP, and I pick up on things like that too. I am getting a strange sense of doom here in NY, but I can't put my finger on why exactly. I feel that something very evil is going on.
Keep us posted w/ goings on in your part of the woods. I have a bad feeling about these times.

Like to the DNC? This is highly illegal. Good grief, the RNC is hassling Michael Moore for giving underwear and Ramen noodles as gag gifts to college just for them pledging that they WILL vote, not that they'll vote for a certain candidate, just that they won't be so hungover on Nov. 2nd that they'll hawl their slackers butts to the polls.

gone out to register people to vote without promoting Bush. If they found out you weren't trying to get people to vote for Bush, the worst they could do is fire you.
