Poll question: Nader less credible than the Corvair? |
|
I just noticed that my company has refurbished 29 crankshafts this year for rebuilding the engines of Corvairs. That is more than we reground for flaming Pintos, oil sucking Vegas, and mystery accelerating Audi 5000s combined. Could the Corvair be the most beloved of the famously maligned vehicles? Has its popularity outlasted that of its arch nemesis?

1. I used to own a Corvair. |

I know Corvairs, and Mr. Nader is no Corvair.

This is America, land of the automobile, after all. Why not?

After Nader pointed out the problem with Corvairs, Chevy fixed the design and there was nothing wrong with the later models. Unfortunately, the damage to the car's reputation was done, and it just didn't sell any more.
After we all pointed out the problem with Nader after the 2000 election, he did bugger all to fix it, and, unfortunately the obnoxious bastard is still running. Let's hope he doesn't sell any more either....
