when I turned it on Kennedy had the floor..
There seems to be an issue with the health educ. bill...

5. not sure what was happening
but, it seemed like mostly a procedural flap. mccain gave time to nickles who tried to bring an amendment up. reid complained and had it pulled back. kennedy was in the mix.

mccain is opposed to the committee reorganization.

it was messy but this was what I caught.

8. no prob... and right now
reid is talking at length. apparently collins is not happy about how much power she'll have as head of the new HS committee.

reid is ripping her to pieces. (in that nice way he always has!)

7. Mary Landrieu said nothing for troops in the bill
said she'd make reporters et al aware
of it and keep the Senate working over
the weekend on it.
McCain said he thought it would be
worked out but wanted to get on with
the amendments. That was about 45 minutes
ago...haven't watched since, but it
looks roiling down there.

I vote for Mary.
