Update on the theft of my John Kerry bumper sticker.
Last night when I came out of the movie theater, I noticed that my "John Kerry for President" bumper sticker was missing, but the other stickers hadn't been touched. This puzzled me because they are all magnetically-backed.

Before I applied the stickers, I glued this message on the backs of each one:

Geez, right-wingers are predictable. Are they all hypocrites? I figured I wouldn't get through this election cycle without some kind of problem, hence the "message."

Last night it was too dark to see that someone had tried to apply another bumper sticker in place of my "John Kerry" sticker. It was ripped off and left a mark.

This is what I think happened: The thief took the magnetically-backed John Kerry sticker, put it in his / her pocket, then got caught while applying what was no doubt a B/C sticker. What do you think?

Is it worth calling the police? They'd have to just take my word that I had a magnetically-backed John Kerry bumper sticker and that someone stole it and tried to replace it with something else.

2. Depends on what kind of police you have there, and where your
capacity is for lost causes.

If all you want to do is make a point about RW being thieves, and you can handle cops, then have at it.

If the cops where you are, are like the cops where I am, I doubt it would be worth the emotional hassle.

Much better, in that case, to spend the time and emotional energy talking to someone who is "convertable.". :)

3. Maybe you should use an adhesive sticker instead?
If you can use one, here's one design I'm selling:

4. How about an electric bumper sticker
that's deisigned to shock you if you try to pry it off, unless you turn it off first from inside the car. That would give a certin feeling of satisfaction.

5. Itchy Fingers deserve itchy palms
Get latex gloves and go up into the woods and get some poison ivy. Smear it all over your stickers and yard signs. Lay it on thick!

6. I think you should file a report. If it left a mark on your car, that's
vandalism.

If paint came off and you have comprehensive insurance it should cover it but they probably will want a police report.

At least it will alert the cops in that area that people are doing this, so they will look out for them.
