Neocons plan for Bush 2nd term
http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Middle_East/FJ09Ak01.html

Echoing increasingly threatening noises from the government of Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon about preventing Iran from developing a nuclear weapon, neo-cons are calling for Washington to undertake covert action, at the very least, to oust what some of them call the "terror masters" in Tehran as part of a more general "World War IV" against alleged Arab and Islamic extremism. (The Cold War is widely considered as World War III.)

<snip>

Stressing the long-held Likud view that the nations of the region were artificial creations forged out of the defeated Ottoman Empire, he (Neo-conservative godfather Norman Podhoretz) suggested, 'What was done in the aftermath of World War I can be undone in World War IV."

1. Another year, another war.
On to Iran.

And then there's Syria... Oh look, Egypt needs to be corrected... Lebanon, well its obvious isn't it? And Jordan...that's a monarchy, not a democracy... Its all quite clear, isn't it.

2. That entire article is a must read
It's precisely what I keep telling my husband in that if Bush is elected, that administration has nothing...repeat NOTHING to lose! Anyone who thinks the last four years have been bad but has some delusional hope that Bush will be more compassionate, is a leader :puke:, or whatever other excuse they can (ir)rationalize, is fucking nuts!

3. The Balkanization of Asia
Edited on Sun Oct-10-04 06:21 AM by teryang
This is the American foreign policy objective. Destroying viable state entities is job one for the neo-cons. Why the nation-state is obsolete is the corporatist/neo-con phony academy theory du jour. Once the fractionalized, plagued with violence, non-viable entity is created, the puppet leaders supported by American military contractors, energy companies, and our treasury, are dependent on us for their continued existence.

Divide and conquer. All your resources belong to American banks and energy companies. Halliburton and the other defense contractors will make it so.

Contrary to undoing the work of WWI, they are extending its mistakes, ad absurdum.

4. Actively pursuing World War IV
This should get wider circulation. World War IV would certainly entail the DRAFT.
