Wal-Mart workers, if you be here on DU: Is there medical benefits? |
|
The reason I ask this is because a while ago, I saw that a patient who was a Wal-Mart employee was listed as "self-pay" or no insurance.
So does that mean that if you are a manager or exec there you have coverage but if you are a checkout or shelf stocking dude you don't?

1. one can get insurance if one |
|
meets certain reguirements BUT the cost of the insurance is so high that many cannot afford the coverage. my daughters ex boyfriend worked there and couldn`t afford insurance and he was "full time" which means anywhere from 30 hours to 40..he was sent home many days after 5-6 hours..you can`t pay the premiums on those kinds of hours...

2. Don't they pull the same thing a lot of places do now? |
|
They offer insurance to 'full time' employees, set a limit for 'full time,' then rate most of their employees an hour or two less than that limit and 'temporarily' work them beyond that rating over and over again?

3. One of my friend's sons tell me that.... |
|
..the Wal-Fart store managers are allowed only so many "points" per scum (ah, I mean employee).
If the worker gets too many points, it means wal-fart is not making as much money on the scum (I mean, employee) as it should.
He also tells me that when the wal-mart employees (I got it right that time!) ..see the commercials about wal-fart health insurance, they want to burn the "fuckin' place down" (His Words).
In short, wal-fart is what every Republican person wishes to become.....
