Hey! Bush's Bump Thing...made AOL front Page...and it was a great Pix |
|
that showed the "square box" with cable running down. They quoted a NYT's article crediting "Salon Online" for the article, giving quotes "non-denial" by Andrew Card about "well it wasn't a "bullet proof vest" and Bush's tailor saying "it was a 'crumple' in his suit."
If "Conservative AOL had this on it's "Front Page at Log On" then it says theres still much speculation.
Have you Drudge Visitors found him focussing on the "bulge" in the President's Suit? Did he even mention it? I don't visit Drudge...so I don't know.

4. It was played as a straight story on CNN tonight.... |
|
and that's great! The White House responses were limp and the suggestion that Bush cheated hung out there like a flag.

suits don't do that. He continues to play the American people for fools, God I hope and pray that we have all had enough of his bull shit.

6. I still think this is a pointless story |
|
For one, I really don't think he's wearing a wire. He didn't exactly demonstrate a great command of the facts in the past two debates. And secondly, even if he was wearing a wire, theres never gonna be enough evidence to prove it, so this whole thing is nothing more than a distraction. It may be even worse than a distraction, since it could foster an impression that the President did well in the debates. ("He did so well that people thought he was wearing a wire? Hmm..")

answers are fed to him. This can be proven and it should be pursued. This sorry excuse for a Pres. needs to be exposed.

12. What if the wire wasn't to communicate facts. |
|
What if the person speaking into the mike is giving stage directions: "Demand an extra 30 seconds!"; "Stop smirking"; "Pretend to write something"; "Give the ____ response to that question"; "The questioner was named Jane"; "Keep moving, show energy", "Don't take the bait! Talk about his record"... etc.
In fact, that would make waaaaay more sense than trying to recite facts into his ear. That would just confuse Bush.

10. why do people assume... |
|
its not a bulletproof vest just because someone in the Bush administration said it wasnt?
WTF happened to people?
I post in another thread saying it was a bulletproof vest, and 2 people responded "its not a bullet proof vest because Bush's people said it wasnt." :eyes:
So are we believing Bush's people now?

Edited on Sun Oct-10-04 07:36 PM by KoKo01
it's definitely SOMETHING! The AOL photo showed a complete square with a "tail" down his jacket.
I saw the DU photos but my computer didn't show but the first outline...my hubby has a new Toshiba lap top with bells and whistles and he was the one using AOL who shouted to me that he could finally SEE what we all were talking about.
The photo on his computer was clear as a bell...and that photo was on his AOL HOMEPAGE.
I use Netscape 7 with Yahoo as my Homepage..so I had to rely on DU photos which were darker on my older PC computer.
So some folks are seeing the photos clearer than others depending on their computer monitor resolution.
All I can say is that the AOL PIX was really DAMNING.

14. I think he was wearing both |
|
he wears the wire for stage directions and helpful hints and he wears a vest for protection.
The problem is that if the situation was so dangerous that it required the president to wear a vest, did the Bush Campaign let the Kerry Campaign know that it might be a good idea for Kerry to take precautions too? I think this is why they are flipping out denying everything. If they had Intel that there might be an attack, then it would have been their responsibility to let Kerry know. Even if they did let Kerry know and he refused to wear a vest, they can't win. Either they were negligent for not letting Kerry know, or Bush looks like a coward because he wore a vest and Kerry refused.

I'm having a what the hell moment here.
They said there was the rumor, they said the WH staff laughed it off, and while they talked about it, they showed him from the FRONT. Surely they can figure out that the news story was about his back?
