Was listening to my Sirius Sat. Radio this week.....
Edited on Sun Oct-10-04 08:27 PM by Postman
and had it tuned into Sirius Left 143. Richard Bey was filling in for Lynn Samuels who was away on vacation.

Richard Bey came up with such a funny and relevant analogy concerning how the Bush administration is ever-so disconnected from reality when it comes to the Iraq mess.

You all know that the latest Iraq Survey Group report (the Dulfer Report) yet again confirmed that Saddam Hussein had no WMD's, that he could only dream of having WMD's, and was a small and diminshing threat, as opposed to the stovepiped BS we got from the Bush/PNAC crowd.

And you all see how more and more delusional the Bush crowd becomes with each new revelation regarding the bungling of Iraq.

Bush is out there crowing "We disarmed Saddam"..."He wanted to pass-off WMD's to terrorists"....yada, yada, yada

Richard Bey came up with this.....(You have to be familiar with the Amadu Dialo shooting in New York City a few years ago where the police shot dead Amadu Dialo 41 times. The police feared he had a gun when he was in the vestibule of his apartment house. It turned out he had his wallet in his hand).....Could you imagine the cops going around the country giving speeches to the effect..."We disarmed Amadu"...."He wanted a gun"..."The wallet in his raised hand was proof that he someday wanted a gun".....

This is how far off the tracks this Bush crowd has gone...

1. No comment on the content ...
but I'm surprised to discover this is the same Richard Bey who had a daytime variety show kind of like 'Regis and whatever fluff-brain is cohost this week' with, if I recall correctly, Linda Dano. It's been almost 20 years ago, now, I remember watching that on Lifetime. I always liked him -- he's really quick -- but would never have guessed he was a leftie from the content of the show he was on. I'm happy to see he's still around, and also that he's on 'our side' of the divide!

And now that I went back and read your post, yeah -- the Diallo shooting is a fairly apt analogy.

all the supposed "liberals" including Lynn Samuels.

The only one left is Ron Kuby. Of course they have to "balance" the show with the rightwing lunatic Curtis Slewa.

Richard Bey also said about this administrations delusional approach to the world is like the inmates of an insane asylum grabbing the doctors and telling them ..."you have to believe what we believe"...
