Research takes a long time to get done... 2 or 3 years is generally considered a very short time in research.

Most scientists I know personally consider stem cells to be overhyped anyways. A lot of people somehow expect cures to appear very quickly, and they may be disappointed if it takes a long time... which can hurt the Democrats if they push it too hard.

Cristopher Reeves dead? I was just about to read the post about Reeves and stem cell research by the Drudge report and then this one caught my eye. So sad if true. Is the Drudge Report online?
