What is hypocrisy? Take the Fox network for example. On the Fox news channel you got commentators like Bill O'Reilly bemoaning the fact that entertainment industry is corrupting the moral fiber of our impressible youth in America. Well...Bill should take a look at his own network. If you FX on cable or satellite you find wholesome family fair like, "Rescue me". It's a show about NY firemen. Dennis Leary wrote the screen play. The show has nudity and obscene language. The only dirty word they don't use is the F word. I guess everybody has their limits. One episode was about who had the biggest dong in the firehouse. They showed scenes of these firemen masterbating in the bathroom so it would make their members even larger than it is. Can you imagine if CBS ran this show? Every religious nut would be picketing in front of CBS headquarters and calling for boycotts. You see the Teliban side by side with Fudamentalist Christains calling for a Moral Jihad against the Liberal media. So why isn't a whipper about this show? Because it would hurt GOP TV, Fox News. They are the main propagandist for the right. Will FX play a un-edited version of, "Deep throat"? Why not? Think of the ratings during sweeps month. After all, it's a classic porn flik?

1. Just remember: In corporate land, it's not hypocrisy if it makes money. |

There is no such thing as corporate hypocrisy. There are only profits and losses. Now, you can call O'Reilly a hypocrite (please do) for lashing out against the same type of entertainment aired by the company he works for. O'Reilly is not going to quit his job (they give him money), and Fox is not going to fire him (he makes them money). That makes O'Reilly a hypocrite and Fox a fiscally responsible company.
