6. Hi skylarmae!
Yes, it's a long read, but well worth it. I love how Bill Moyer's writes :hi:

5. We must hold the Democrats accountable as well.
I respect John Kerry a great deal, but I will not forget the poor in this country. If he doesn't take a stand against the expansion of the corporate agenda then I will take to the streets.

12. I'll be at the million worker march in DC
this weekend. It's definitely time to take to the streets over this issue.

7. Thanks! I actually read this a while back...
... and it certainly hits home.

I also believe that the Democrats must be held accountable for this as well. One of their greatest failings over the past 30 years has been their abandonment of working Americans in order to court corporate campaign contributions.

9. Hi IrateCitizen..
I agree with you and flood999 - we must never forget the working people of this country. I read a great deal on RFK and the speeches he gave during the 1968 campaign and he always emphasized that "...we can do better....". We have to remember that everyone is important and stand firm against the myriad of corporate interests in this country.

10. Hey AFSCME girl -- I think you'll like this as well...
It's another long read, but it's a good look back at Jesse Jackson's bids in 1984 and 1988 for the Dem Presidential nomination. It will both make you wistful over what might have been, while giving you goosebumps about the possibilities that are still out there, floating on the wind.

8. That speech reminds me of why I'm a liberal.
What the wealthy are doing to this country is a crime. I will spend every bit of energy I have tearing down the unjust system they have built.

14. I saved this for later reading but a request.... whenever one posts a pdf
file-- that often take quite some time to download, it would be very much appreciated if you would write a few lines about WHAT IT IS! Sorry to yell, but it is frustrating to click a link and then have your system basically shut down during a download for a large pdf document--especially if it turns out not to be something I'm interested in. In this case, most anything by Bill Moyers is worth the time, but I still make the request. Thanks
