Mr. President, If the fertilized eggs or blastocytes that are used or would be used for stem cell research are "life" or "a human life" that must be preserved even though another person is harmed by potentially be deprived of life-saving therapies how can you justify keeping birth control methods, including birth control pills, that prevent implantation legal. Second, isn't it inconsistent to use federal funds, in federal employee health insurances programs, to pay for birth control pills and devices that destroys fertilized eggs and blastocysts while denying federal funding for stem cell research because it would do the same thing? Third, if the destruction of fertilized eggs and blastocysts destroys human life why are in-vitro fertilization clinics legal?

Note--Did federal funding support research into birth control/in-vitro fertilization? Do federal health insurance programs pay for in-vitro fertilization?
