Just Bought F-9/11 at COSTCO and The Register Person said..... |
|
"What is that movie about? I have seen a lot of people buy that."!!!! So I did the brief description of the movie as I did not want to piss off the people in back of me waiting in line. I ended by saying you HAVE to see it, invite your friends and have a party watching it. It is a must see and Michael Moore is a true Patriot! He then noticed I had also purchased hiS latest book of letters from Iraq Soldiers. I told him I had read every MM book written and he should read them too! I ended by asking just how many people had bought the CD. He said just about every person he had checked out today!!! Holy shit!! That is great news!!!

1. I bought my copy at Best Buy on Saturday |
|
While there I saw numerous folks carrying a copy and while checking out I spotted three copies being purchased in the two lines I had in my line of sight.
BB had a nice display right as you walked into the store and the Best Buy version came with a cardboard slipsleeve that wasn't on videos I saw at other stores.

3. I bought mine at the local Best Buy on Tuesday |
|
They had been open a little over an hour, and the girl said she had already sold "about 30 copies."
And her's wasn't the only register open!

Moore's books. It was awesome. They were young, hip, latino (L.A). Politics sure are on the minds of plenty of young folks today. I love it. This election victory will be delicious.

I bought two from Costco last week. One I'm loaning out to friends who haven't seen it, the other I gave to the Kerry HQ here in Orlando. :-)

5. We got ours on Friday at Costco |
|
They had them at a good price, too.
Costco, for all of its "big store" scariness, seems to treat and pay its employees fairly well. The rest of the retail industry is pretty pissed at them, as they were all hoping to race Walmart to the bottom. Go Costco!

6. Hey! I switched to DVD format to enable us to see it... |
|
I bought a DVD player on eBay, then ordered F911 AND Bowling for Columbine also, which we haven't seen either. We can hardly wait, they all should arrive at the same time!

I'd like nothing better than to see F9/11 COSTco Bush the election.Heh heh. Speaking of which, I saw Moore on Bill Maher the other night. He's 18 cities into his 60 city slacker tour, and doing it with walking pneumonia. He's a one man world of dedication and determination.

22. If your "neck of Texas" is North... |
|
Then I feel for you.
My wife and I live in Keller and it's pro-Bush country.
However, when you come down our street and hit the end, there's a flurry of Kerry-Edwards signs.
A breath of fresh air after plowing through Bush country.

Yes those little signs make me take heart...even if I left mine (just north) of San Francisco to move out here. I hear the closer you get to Fort Worth you see more Kerry support.

I haven't heard that about the walking pneumonia. That's very scary, indeed! I knew he was sick, but then there was no more updates.
Like your pun, too.

12. I got mine at Circuit City last week. |
|
They didn't have it displayed, or even up with the other new releases. I found it lined up on the bottom shelf, with only the side spine showing. It may have been my imagination, but I felt a disapproving look from the clerk as I was checking out.

15. F-911 display at WorstBuy |
|
There was a big wad of spit on the small endcap display of F911 at the WorstBuy store in Marietta, GA this weekend. I guess some Repugnican decided to do that rather than think up a REBUTTAL to the ideas contained in the movie.

Have fun, and get creative at your local bookstores. When no one is looking, position MM's books in the forefront, obscure the Unfit for Command stacks by turning them upside down and placing MM's books on top. I got a bit of a thrill a few months ago covering up all O'Reilly's books with Al Franken's.

that's making crap pay.
Not to be an ass or anything, but screwing with displays really accomplishes nothing except creating more work for someone else.

If you work in a store where employee are assigned sections of the store which will be their responsibility to keep orderly. Although the pay is hourly, they're going to have to work harder than necessary for that pay.

Hi Bonjangles, I see what you're saying, and you're right, it may create a little more work for someone else .... Then again, it may work toward them keeping that job and with even better health benefits in the future if we can spread the word in enough ways to usher in a new government.
