Twin Cities rumor re Twins/Yankees/Bush
it was going around that with Bush in town Saturday, he might inject himself into the ALDS between the Twins and Yankees by throwing out the first pitch Saturday evening.

BUT! Oh, my with forty-some thousand fans there, even probably some New Yawkahs, they might not all be Bush fans! No way to get 'em to sign the typical Bush loyalty oath. Might even be some heckling from residents of this traditionally liberal state.

So....no first pitch. Which is OK. A Bush appearance PLUS a loss to the Yanquis might have been too hard to take...

1. I doubt his handlers would risk the cascade of booing.
Clearly, only the more well-to-do can afford to attend these games in person, so the house is stacked in Smirky's favor. Nonetheless, there'd be enough people to make it apparent that he's not the populist "Amurikan Caeser" he deludes himself that he is. If enough booing preceded him throwing out the ball, he'd blow it.

2. You think that's bad? The butthead in chief threw out the first . . .
. . .pitch of the WHOLE SEASON from Busch Stadium, home of my beloved Cardinals!!!:puke: The team used to be owned by Anhaeuser-Bush, but is now owned by a coalition of fascists.

Yankees fans do not like Bush and Cheney...
..when Cheney came to a game earlier in the season, and they showed his mug on the big screen, we all booed him...they took that off very quick
