Just came on and there's a Elephant on my chest!!
I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ENRAGED with the RW. I've stayed mostly OFF DU in last couple days. I'm so burned out with all the tension in this campaign. I don't sleep. I don't eat. I can't calm down. I can't do what I used to do for entertainment. I'm a mess. And I'm on information overload.

I turn TV on and read in here that Sinclair Broadcasting is pulling something that is JUST ILLEGAL as Hell! I'm watching Pat Buchanan on MSRNC with the swift boat pukes, then with Dobson and Focus on the Family. What HORSESHIT. I can't stand it anymore!

The corruption and outrages NEVER STOP! There are way too many things wrong in America RIGHT NOW. "Life is out of balance"

It's TOO MUCH TO TAKE! We are dealing with Corruption and manipulation in religions, in Politics/politicians, in governments both local and Federal, corruption in the courts, and within the corporate world. Plus we have a sociopath along with his machiavellian puppet masters RUNNING THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!

How did that happen???? *ROARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR*

There, I feel better.

7. LOL...I'm staying away from political rags at this point....
Whatever there is to know...........I ALREADY KNOW IT. Happily, I did start some casual reading the other day. It has helped.

I got a call from an old friend today telling me MORE weird stuff the cops/feds are doing around town (patriot act) and it sent me over the edge for the day.

I was doing fine until that phone call. Then, as I hooked up computer in a different location...hubby puts the tube on and BANG! there starts the bobble heads with all their crap. I learned some other depressing stuff from my hairdresser today also. Geeez. I think I'm suffering from post traumatic stress after all these many months and years living under and learning about this INSANE government in power today; because it doesn't take much to set me on edge anymore.

Thanks for the hugs :) I should probably go play a game then go to bed.

9. =o)
I went out for a haircut today. That was refreshing...doing something "normal". I live in Calif. (blue state) just south of San Fran. Many more Kerry signs etc, than bush. I had to drive inland on Friday, towards Modesto and WOW..that IS Bush land. Bush Bumper stickers and signs all over the place...on tractors even.

I have a sick mind I think because I got a certain demented glee out of displaying all my stickers (magnetic) on the back of my van. I had Democratic Underground sticker along with others in my windshield too... (so the gas attendents et al would not miss them). My best stickers are about Bush bringing fascism into the 21st century and one about religious nuts but the No. 1 strip I have is beautiful... It's a large RED strip with thick BLACK lettering: BUSH LIED and over the whole thing in fine white lettering ARE THE NAMES OF THE DEAD SOLDIERS from Iraq. Powerful.

I got not a few angry race arounds on the highway, a few anry honks etc. I just smiled and drove along happily. Just Doin' my part.B-)

Thanks for your positive input......GO ARIZONA!!

3. I hear ya, Sugar, I feel exactly the same way and it really does feel
like I have an elephant on my chest, but I think that's from the flu.

I keep trying to chill out and take some news and DU breaks but I feel like I'm going to miss something important and earth shattering.

I gotta get some rest - you should too.

..the leaves are changing and there's an invigorating chill in the clear October air. Boston won their first round and now they play the Yankees in this eternal epic struggle. Somewhere, a perfect wave is breaking. Somewhere else a couple is giving birth to a beautiful child.

The election will happen. Do what you can and then let it go. Get high. Get drunk. Have sex. Slurp an ice cream cone.

5. Boy can I relate, I keep trying to
go one day without getting involved in a political discussion and can't seem to do it. I wish the election were tommorow. Then god help me if * steals this one too. That means 4 more years of shouting the truth till someone listens...

6. Yeah, this Sinclair thing has me enraged.
They'll cheat, but it won't matter because it will be too late before anyone is able to do anything to stop them. And if the outcome is as they desire, they'll probably never lose anything financially over it except what they pay their attorneys.

Make sure you sign the petition, make the congressional and FCC and FEC contacts. This is blatant manipulation. I truly wish there was some way for us to $#@k them over immediately to stop this from happening.

10. I just saw my post here, but it says written by "Sugarbleus"
How the heck that happen?

~~guffaw~~

Y'know, I was watching a PBS show earlier this evening, about a pair of hawks that nested in a highrise buildng close to Central Park. The people were fascinated with it, and showed up every day to watch, and the watching crowd got bigger and bigger. As the chicklets grew, the people were mesmerized, and total strangers started getting to know each other, and all sorts of human boundaries were transcended, as people shared their enthusiasm and concern for their feathered friends. Wealthy, poor...... didn't matter, they were banded together by the birds.

When the last chicklet fledged, there was much excitement, hugging and celebrating, and tears of joy.

I thought...... this is what life is *truly* meant to be....... the awe of nature, bringing us all together, and creating that deep bond of the earth.

We humans are just plain silly to let all this other crap muck up something that basically GOOD.

If cranky New Yorkers can come to that place of community, surely there is some sort of hope.

 to ya, Sugar!
