4. I am listening to it on a local pubic radio station-KDNK, Carbondale, CO |
|
The satelite feed is 3 hour delayed and has great commentary. Everyone who wants could check to see if their own locals are carrying it.

interspersed with a lot of fundraising for the station.
I never heard of Sundance channel before this. It's not on our cable, Don't think it's on any of the systems in the area.

The bass musical interlude played between sets sounds a lot like the riff from "Liar" by Three Dog Night. It could be coincidental, but I appreciated the reference even if it was my imagination.
I was gone all weekend on a road trip and only thought to set a tape for the debate beforehand. Thanks G_j & others who posted threads, because I otherwise I would have completely missed it. I would have been ticked off too, because as much as I love Bruce S. and the E Street Band, Bonnie Raitt & REM outdid themselves.
Edit: Pearl Jam's doing a fine job as well. ;)

9. I've Got Shivers...A Great Show |
|
Edited on Tue Oct-12-04 02:48 AM by IMRadioactive
Seeing the greatest American bands, rocker and writers of my life...60's, 70's, 80's & 90's...all rockin' to People Have The Power! Too bad Patti Smith isn't there to join them. I hope the song is released as a single and played all over the radio. It's a great song that really fits the times.
I have been feeling sorry for the Dixie Chicks, I felt they didn't really get the applause they deserved for all they have and still are enduring. Also I have a feeling there weren't a lot of folks there that knew who John Fogerty is...and the impact his songs had in '69-72 or so...and all the crap he had to take then. A real surprise was seeing Dave Edmunds do one of his boogie numbers with Pearl Jam.
The film bits between the live segments are very well done. One has a bunch of freepers attempting to protest one of the shows. People just walk past 'em ignoring them, just like I hope the rest of us will be able to do soon.
If you're lucky enough to have Sundance, it's starting again on the West channel right now. Hopefully they'll rush copies of this to Amazon and video stores. Just for the music alone, it's one great time.
