I miss RB and "For What it is Worth". It's my anthem.
Somethings happening here
What it is ain't exactly clear,

Stop now, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going round.

Buffalo Springfield

For What It's Worth
Stephen Stills, 1966

There's something happening here
What it is ain't exactly clear
There's a man with a gun over there
Telling me I got to beware

I think it's time we stop, children, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down

There's battle lines being drawn
Nobody's right if everybody's wrong
Young people speaking their minds
Getting so much resistance from behind

I think it's time we stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down

What a field-day for the heat
A thousand people in the street
Singing songs and carrying signs
Mostly say, hooray for our side

It's time we stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down

Paranoia strikes deep
Into your life it will creep
It starts when you're always afraid
You step out of line, the man come and take you away

We better stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
Stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
Stop, now, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
Stop, children, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down

1. For What it's Worth, I was sitting in a little diner yesterday
and this song was played on the radio. One of my favorites. Funny how I could remember all the words to that song and can barely remember what I ate for dinner last night. Not so funny how it applies today too. :(

2. You have a heart. It's not so funny, but it is a beautiful song with
amazingly prescient words for still today. Sad as that might be. Nothing about what is happening in our world right now is funny, but dear, we can find solace in like minded friends. And we can maintain hope that we still can change the world.

Peace......and lots of love......

3. One of my favorites too
I also like the version on 4 Way Street (as part of "America's Children", a poem at the end of "49 Bye Byes")

"Cause if we can't do it with a smile on our face / with love in our heart / than brother we got no right to do it at all." Good song.
