Is voting for Bush a Pavlovian response?
It appears that nothing can dissuade a Bush supporter.

Is this a conditioned response to the barrage of propaganda?

Are the undecided voters the only ones yet to be conditioned properly?

1. Ya gotta hand it to 'em
They have mastered brainwashing via the tube.

I know grown men who think they owe their lives and fortunes to B*sh. They think he will save them from calamity, even tho B*sh is the one who got them into this mess in the first place!

We need to get control of the tube. We progressives need to get our own brainwashing programs on the air.

2. Had a similar discussion this morning.
No matter what you throw at these idiots - rising gas prices, heating costs, Patriot Act, bad intelligence, lying to America about Iraq, lackluster jobs growth, bad economy, tax cuts for the rich, the list goes on - to a man they will agree bush has not done a very good job.

Then comes the kicker - "I don't think Kerry will be as tough on terror. That's why I have to stick with bush."

I'm glad I'm not carrying a night stick when I hear stupidity like this.

3. Their pride won't let them do anything else
They long for the days when they knew bush was right about everything. When they waived their flags and labeled liberals unpatriotic. When the bad news didn't start flowing in on a daily basis. When the body counts started going up from bush's political war in Vietenam. Oops, did I say Vietnam? Did I say political war? The Vietnam war which conservatives were saddened ended. Conservatives are full of false pride (isn't that some sort of sin) that they can't say, WE WERE WRONG ABOUT WHATSHISNAME. Pavlovian? Maybe. Me thinks its the very weak will of a group of citizens who have a very weak political value system.
