What's Zogby getting at?
Who would you more likely vote for president - the Tin Man, who is all brains and no heart or the Scarecrow, who is all heart and no brain?

I'm taking an on-line poll, and came to that question.

I'm stuck now :silly:

2. that is such a simplistic and misleading question
obviously it is an illusion towards Kerry as a man of intellect and Buch as a man with a heart, but if Bush has a heart how can he willingly kill so many people in Iraq? Can't a man have intellect and a heart? I think so.

7. Its a stupid question.
In the movie if you remember, even though the Tin Man has no heart he is the most sentimental of them. And the scarecrow, even though he has no brain is the one that always comes up with all the ideas. So its a misleading question. I wonder if Zogby ever saw the movie?!

9. Dick Cheney should learn these lyrics
"If I only had a heart..."

When a man's an empty kettle he should be on his mettle,
And yet I'm torn apart.
Just because I'm presumin' that I could be kind-a-human,
If I only had heart.
I'd be tender - I'd be gentle and awful sentimental
Regarding Love and Art.
I'd be friends with the sparrows ... and the boys who shoots the arrows
If I only had a heart.
Picture me - a balcony. Above a voice sings low.
Wherefore art thou, Romeo?
I hear a beat...how sweet.
Just to register emotion, jealousy - devotion,
And really feel the part.
I could stay young and chipper and I'd lock it with a zipper,
If I only had a heart.

17. updated lyrics!!!
'CAUSE DICK DOESN'T HAVE A HEART (to the tune of "If I Only Had a Heart")

WHEN A MAN'S A CORPORATE CRONY
HIS CURSES ARE NOT PHONY,
AND HIS BREATH IS JUST A FART.
YOU'RE A FOOL IF YOU'RE ASSUMIN'
THAT HE'S EVEN VAGUELY HUMAN
'CAUSE DICK DOESN'T HAVE A HEART

AS HE SHILLS FOR HALLIBURTON
OUR SOLDIERS TAKE THE BURDEN
HE'S RAISED THAT TO AN ART
HIS FRIENDS FILL THEIR COFFERS
WITH HIS UNCONTESTED OFFERS
'CAUSE DICK DOESN'T HAVE A HEART

PICTURE DICK, THAT NOXIOUS PRICK
HIS HAND UP DUBYA'S BUTT
MAKES SURE KEN LAY GETS HIS CUT
HE SCREWS THE TROOPS,
HOW CUTE!
IT'S THE NEOCON AGENDA
TO SPREAD A FEAR OF TERRA...
THAT'S REALLY OFF THE CHART.
HE'S A CESSPIT OF EVIL
AND DECEPTION IS HIS ONE SKILL
'CAUSE DICK DOESN'T HAVE A HEART

I HAVEN'T GOT A SPINE (To the tune of "If I Only Had the Nerve")

IT'S A DRAG BELIEVE ME CONDI
TO BE CALLED AN 'UNCLE TOMMY'
AND TOE THE BUSHCO LINE
BUT I COULD FOIL THE FATE'S PLAN
IF I'D ONLY BE A STATESMAN
BUT I HAVEN'T GOT A SPINE

IT'S A SHAM I'M DIGNIFYIN'
BUT I'M JUST TOO GOOD AT LYIN'
AND MICHAEL GETS TO SHINE
SO I'LL REMAIN A TOKEN
'CAUSE MY COURAGE HAS BEEN BROKEN
AND I HAVEN'T GOT A SPINE

8. I had the same Zogby question
there is one other choice which is no choice... To me, brains with no heart are useless as heart with no brains are when it comes to the leader of the US and whole free world.... I would say that both these qualities are necessary for the office of president....I chose neither

10. Wait...This doesn't make sense...
I never believed the Scarecrow had no brains. He engaged in intelligent conversation with Dorothy and seemed to possess the ability to reason. He even offered solutions to problems (remember the angry Apple Trees?) which indicated critical thought.

As for the Tin Man, if he really had no heart, wouldn't he have gone after the other three (and Toto, too!) with his ax in some kind of maniacal bloodletting?

I just don't think the aforementioned characters really lacked the attributes they claimed they were denied.

12. I thought you said
I read your statement wrong the first time.
I thought you said Who is more likely to vote for Bush, the tin man or the scare crow and I thought it was a simple answer. The Scare Crow, of course, because he doesn't have a brain.

I would have skipped the question also. Both characters were equally charming in their own ways and neither resembled either candidate for President. Bush has neither heart nor brain and Kerry has both. Bush resembles the deceitful man behind the curtain.

I refused. Obviously, the Black and White thinking republicans will pick the tin man, not realizing that they are voting based upon their primary emotions - hate, anger and greed.

23. What's the point of this question when...
when Bush has no brains AND no heart? Kerry has brains, as we have seen in the previous debates, and he has heart, by not alienating diverse groups in his orations.
