Jaime Gorrellies Wall???(sp) |

.....Please excuse the mispelling of the 911 Commission members name.....Would someone assist me in understanding the constitutional intent of JGs'ruling that the RW has morphed into aiding the terrorist by "preventing" imformation sharing among the various Intel. agencies.....My understanding is that her intent was to bolster the credibility of imformation being used in the investigation process by avoiding any constitutional ambiguities.....Best Wishes

The "wall" goes back to the Vietnam (Watergate) era. It was to prevent the CIA from harassing domestic dissidents. Jaime Gorelik(sp?) did not invent it.

3. Basically, the Gorelik thing |
|
is right-wing propaganda of the most vicious kind. It's purpose is to smear Gorelik as a Democrat and to discredit the 9-11 Commission.
From what I know, Gorelik, working in the Justice Department wrote a memo clarifying and/or explaining existing law. Someone (can't remember who) in Bush's Justice Department wrote a basically identical memo.
I don't much care for the 9-11 Commission, but this "memo" thing is a pure mis-information campaign.
