4. Noticed it here, too... |
|
Rising steadily here in the Chicago Area.
The local all-news station actually has a regular feature of reporting where the lowest gas prices in the greater Chicago area are!!!
I am *so* glad that I own a Prius hybrid!

2. ...here in FL we're hearing its due to Ivan |
|
...pretty much shutting down production in the north gulf of mexico.
Ivan even broke one of the floating rigs loose and it had to be located by airplane, some 50 miles away from where it was supposed to be...

6. ivan a true disaster in the oilpatch, here's a link |
|
This story ran today at nola.com and I believe also in the business section of the New Orleans Times-Picqyune: http://www.nola.com/business/t-p/index.ssf?/base/money-0/1097562428113580.xmlIvan was a disaster out there. The pipelines are in deep trouble. It also destroyed the Chandeleur (spelling?) Islands although in time the islands will form again.

3. everyone's c omplaining |
|
Sure, I've noticed, and I'm a tad surprised. * has made a fortune for the oil companies, and I'm surprised that they're not bringing the prices down as a show of support. I predicted a rise in the stock market and a fall in gas prices at the pump for October -- both predictions, so far, are turning out to be wrong.
Either things are so out of control the powers that be really can't control the prices -- or even the oil companies are concerned about what will happen under 4 more years of the same.
