We'll never get anywhere if we don't all contribute. IF you haven't sent any Sinclair emails please do. If you haven't sent emails after debates, PLEASE DO!

Just once in my life time I'd like to see us come up with the winning side of a letter writing campaign. If the uneducated bubbas over in Freeperville and racist neo-con republican assholes can do it I know we can.

1. I write PAPER letters..with brightly colored envelopes

I compose them on the computer, spellcheck, and print 'em out..


A real letter is going to at least be looked at, handled and opened..It might even get read :)

saying that I would not support any advertisers on their station if they air the "film." Tomorrow I will watch the station and document all the advertisers, then send them letters as well.

as far as something for us to do. But e-mailing Sinclair and the affiliates only puts wood on the fire.

The DNC is challenging the movie with the FEC and the FCC.

Where's a list of the advertisers?

4. I've been sending emails and calling

but one of the guys I talked to this afternoon (a Sinclair advertiser at the local level) said that I was only the fifth person to call. Whether that's the truth or not, I have no clue.

At any rate, I'm going to keep plugging along. Because I do not want to face November 3rd without having done everything I can do to get John Kerry elected in the biggest landslide ever recorded! :bounce:

After the anthrax dude I switched to postcards but I still think there is no substitute for proving I care enough to buy a stamp. Emails are good because they are quick but we need paper people too. I have a little more time on my hands than many, so it's no problem for me to stop by the post office.

has a front page thread on DU. So maybe folks are e-mailing and phoning/faxing...but it just doesn't seem so because there are so many posts on DU that one doesn't always know what's going on with "Action Campaigns?"

I hit my local Sinclair, Copps at FCC and a poll on local. I'm waiting to see who sponsors my local shows to do the "advertiser boycott."

Thanks for asking. It's important for us to know we have company on this. I miss the old days when one knew from one or two threads if folks on DU were listening.

24. I sent a telegram to the FCC respectfully requesting

that either Sinclair Broadcasting's stations' broadcast licenses be revoked or its TV stations divested.

The company clearly can't be trusted to fairly use the public airwaves.

handle it. It was just this sort of activity that hyped up F9/11 before its release. Bad move, IMO. The affiliates can't do anything about it, so what's the purpose of that?

E-mail Sinclair? That would just confirm that their movie is having the desired effect.
