I am one of the ancients who remembers the Vietnam war years very clearly. And I remember very clearly the consequences of the draft, especially when we would see on TV every night a list of soldiers who were killed in action. This greatly concentrated the minds of the draft-age guys. If those little Bushazoids' asses were on the line like that, they might think differently. Unfortunately, it's easy to be oblivious and cavalier when it's not your butt getting shot at.

"brothers" ended up going to anyway. Didn't like it either when I marched for civil rights (we were an all-white frat then). Plus I was toking (wasn't very Izod or Weejun of me...made me a full-tilt hippie) when my brothers were still beer bonging (that changed a few years later, however).
