Anyone see Hitchens calling Michael Moore a Fascist...
on yesterday's Democracy NOW! ?

What a prick little Chris has become. And so pretentious, as well. I'm glad Tariq Ali as there to give him a sound smack down.

1. He also called Naomi Klein and Tariq Ali fascists...
the guy should be breath tested before he's allowed on the air.

16. He and Tariq were once friends.
Of course, he was once friends w/ Sid Blumenthal, too.

Get a copy of his excellent pre-9/11 books, especially The Trial Of Henry Kisinger, and I think you'll see what a loss it is to have him with his hand in the pants of the greasy likes of David Horowitz.

7. What struck me was his cultish love of Wolfowitz...
He seems to worship the guy. Crazy stuff.

5. How exactly is Michael Moore a fascist?
Is he preventing people from speaking freely? Does he have political prisoners in his basement? Is he shutting down churches to prevent people from worshiping the God of their choice? Perhaps Michael is building up an army to invade Poland with. It pisses me off when people throw out terms like that and they don't seem to even know what the word means.

8. Chris says that Moore supports Zarqawi...
That's what it came down to. Hitchens is either drunk, stoned or a word-heavy nutcake. Since he is fond of throwing around terms, I might describe his worship of the neocons as very much reminiscent of the kind of drivel Charley Manson might articulate. But hey, that's just me.

9. if that's the case...
perhaps the two of them have quite a bit in common..

what utter nonsense. no leftist could possibly be anything similar to a fascist, which is extereme right-wing by definition.

It's a courtesy for people who view threads by subject line (more often than not, dialup users). It warns them that clicking the header will only download an empty post.

15. Yes, Tariq Ali schooled the bleary Hitchens
Very enjoyable hearing the right wing porker get his medicine from the brilliant Ali, who was in great form.

As for Moore being a fascist, well, Chrishtoferrrrr left his best game in a Chivas bottle some time ago.
