Why won't Kerry mention 9/11? |
|
All he has to say is something like ...
'The facts are that 3000 people died on 9/11 because this administration wasn't paying attention to terrorist threats when warnings were coming in from everywhere. This administration has zero credibility, zero credibility, on protecting America.
After their negligence in protecting America against terrorism, this administration diverted US efforts against those who attacked us in order to pursue their long-planned invasion of Iraq, a country which wasn't involved in terrorism.
They are miserable failures BOTH in protecting America AND in prosecuting terrorism, and they have the nerve to say I wouldn't do as good a job as they have. 3000 Americans died by their failures on 9/11. Nobody could do a worse job than they have done.'
When are Democrats going to get tough enough to at least accuse people - who are already accusing them of their own failures - back? The only people who have left America wide open to assault in the last 50 years are the ones accusing everybody else of weakness. It is surreal, and the lack of strength it shows is not lost on the American people.

1. Because if he said that |
|
The backlash of "You're exploiting their deaths!" Would be so great it could cost him votes.

3. While Bush continues to exploit 9/11. |
|
His campaign is based on the "War On Terror" (tm), just like that pep rally he gave on top of the smoking remains of the World Trade Center.
But the Press would not dare mention that fact....

4. What an easy charge that would be to turn around. |
|
But more importantly, why does the fear of a backlash against the truth terrify Dems more than being constantly punished by the polls and the pundits with the exact opposite of the truth? It's a consistent 20+ point spread that Bush is Murka's protector and Dems aren't strong enough to protect America, when it was Bush that let us get attacked.
Bush and Cheney did anything BUT protect America from the moment they took office. I'd rather get 20 backlashes for speaking the truth than get it for Republican failures, from Republicans.
If you're going to get beat down, it may as well be for standing up.
