Keyes accuses Obama of "Infanticide" |
|
for opposing a bill covering a very very rare instance that was a purely political maneuver designed to "trap" Democrats. Obama didn't fall for it becasue, as he correctly pointed out, there are already protections in place.
Keyes also blathered:
"...the nation must feel free to use military force against other countries even if it isn't certain they pose a danger to America."
"I know that John Kerry is preoccupied with an exit strategy. As I've been telling folks recently, if you get into a battle and all you think about is trying to get out, we have a word for you...and it isn't very complementary."
Well, Alan, we here in Illinois have LOTS of words for you.
and NONE are very complementary either.

Are you talking about the guy who's trailing Barack Obama by -- what is it now, like 50 points or thereabouts?
Keyes doesn't even qualify as an asterisk in this race. Just ignore him and his inane rantings -- nearly everyone else is.

5. I believe it was George H.W. Bush who said he didn't invade Iraq |
|
in 1991 because he didn't see a good exit strategy. This was a part of the Powell Doctrine, I do believe, something that Republicans and Colin Powell used to believe in. So take that, Alan Keyes!

11. Here it is from the Daily Herald....they do a much better job of it. |
|
Keyes ripped Obama's votes against a state measure that would have required doctors to provide medical care to babies born alive with severe birth defects during a rare type of abortion procedure. Keyes has said Obama's opposition to the legislation amounts to "infanticide."
"The senator ignored that travesty not once, not twice, but three times," Keyes said.
Obama, an eight-year state senator from Hyde Park, said the protection already is in the law here and the proposals Keyes mentions were an end-run around abortion rights.

Actually, I'm glad that he's running. I hope the media puts REPUBLICAN in big bold letters after his name wherever it appears. What a kook.

12. When these right wing nuts are done their will be no birth control |
|
We will be where we were 50 years ago. I have done that business about birth control right in the state of Conn. First hand. Give us women a brake. If for no other reason than this no women should vote for Bush. the last thing women should want is old white guys making rules in your bed room and Bush has signed a lot of orders in the dead of night. 4 more years and he will wipe out all women's rights on this.
