She runs the Heinz family Foundation, spending her time in philanthopic endeavours to improve the world.
Repeat: She has no connection to the company in terms of business decisions. None. Nada. Zip.

She is "related" to them because she married an heir to the Heinz Fortune.
Her children will eventually be the ones to inherit that Heinz Entity.. Old money is just like that.. It keeps on "giving"..
If she raked it in and stuffed it in boxes under the bed, or if she was not a charitable person, they would have something to criticize, but geeez..
What would they have had her do when her husband died?? Should she have said, "We don't want the money"?? Would YOU?? Would anyone..??
There are people all over the world with "old wealth" somewhere in their background. If the have the name Du Pont or Ford or Heinz or any recognizable name, there is a good likelihood that somewhere in the family tree there was a connection...at some point..
