How many right-wing hypocrites can we name?
Edited on Wed Oct-13-04 05:46 PM by NightTrain
I'll start:

LYNNE CHENEY, wife of Vice-President Dick Cheney; in the early '80s, wrote SISTERS, a lewd and lascivious (not to mention very badly written) novel about a lesbian love affair.

RUSH LIMBAUGH, right-wing radio talk show host who opined that all drug addicts should be put in prison. Of course, when he himself was outed as an Oyxcontin addict, ol' Pigboy didn't exactly beat a path to the door of the nearest police station to turn himself in!

ZELL MILLER, "Democratic" senator from Georgia who supported the re-election of ultra-right-wing President George W. Bush, openly attacked Bush's Democratic opponent John Kerry, and delivered a vicious, mean-spirited speech at the 2004 Republican convention.

BILL O'REILLY, self-described political independent whose Fox News show, THE O'REILLY FACTOR, always seems to bash liberals. In October 2004, a female Fox producer sued O'Reilly for sexual harassment, alleging that he frequently spoke to her of "phone sex, threesomes, and dildos." Lawsuit came within days of publication of O'Reilly's new book, THE O'REILLY FACTOR FOR KIDS.

DAVID SMITH, C.E.O. of Sinclair Broadcasting; in the spring of 2004, ordered his 62 TV stations not to carry the NIGHTLINE episode that named all the U.S. war dead in Iraq; then, less than a month before the 2004 election, ordered the same stations to broadcast a 90-minute anti-Kerry film. Was arrested in Baltimore in 1996 for consorting with a prostitute; police report called Smith's actions with the hooker "perverted."

JIMMY SWAGGART, moralizing right-wing preacher; caught with a prostitute in the 1980s.

13. No, no, no, no.
Yes, there are corrupt, hypocritical liberals, but the right-wingers have honed corruption and hypocrisy into a fucking art form!

When it comes to pure sleaze, the left has nothing--and I mean NOTHING!--on the right.

16. Personally, I don't believe in levels of hypocrisy.
To differentiate degrees is, in itself, hypocritical.

28. Pat Buchanan, talk about a flip-flopper!!!
He's against the right wing when he promotes his book (Where the Right Went Wrong), but he certainly supports all the Bush policies. Where does this one stand, or does it depend on who's watching?

29. John Fund
"Fund went and impregnated the daughter of an old girlfriend of his -- and then John Fund, that staunch pro-lifer, looked the other way when she aborted his child."

His irksome mock-sincere voice always gave me the creeps during the Clinton-Lewinsky brouhaha.
