FBI shuts down 20 antiwar web sites:
The US government move to shut down nearly two dozen antiwar, anti-globalization web sites on October 7 is an unprecedented exercise of police power against political dissent on the Internet.

7. It doesn't matter
This is where the internet is unstoppable.

They only need re-register their domain with a domain registrar outside of the U.S. and move their hosting out of country as well.

10. except some of the confiscated servers were in the UK
Better be quite sure about that location you mention where free
speech is secure.

I hope DU has some contingency plan for if the FBI did the same thing
with the primary servers. I presume there is already a warm
backup plan, with full backups and incrementals offsite. This
indymedia thing serves only as a warning to keep things properly
mirrored in safe locations where scumbag police ops cant shut'em
down.
