My favorite part of the debate....
Bush was trying to copy Kerry when talking about God, Faith, and the Bible and ended up looking like a second rate televangelist.

1. Mine was when Bush insisted that he never said that he wasn't
concerned about capturing Bin Laden. What an asshole.

10. I was watching online at work and I swear I thought I saw fake tears...
rolling down Bush's eyes like some Saturday Night Live skit. It was online distortion, but I'm sure the sentiments behind it were the same...fake and unreal.

14. Don't forget about the flu vaccine question
The question was: How did we find ourselves with a severe shortage of flu vaccine?

Bush's answer - because we relied on a company out of England to provide about half of our flu vaccine and it was contaminated.

His solution?

Bush called on Americans - if you are healthy, if you are younger - don't get a flu shot this year. Help Bush prioritize those who need to get the flu shot - the elderly and young.

He didn't get a flu shot and he doesn't intend to. Because he wants to leave the vaccine for those who really need it. (who is the lucky American who gets his dose?)

Bush's take on the problem - the American drug manufacturers were afraid to make flu vaccine because they were afraid of getting sued.

Where to start?

That the (p)resident in chief saying that I am expendable because I will probably be able to survive the flu? I can be sick for a week or two because chances are I won't die (like my mom would if she caught it). That that is acceptable to him?

How about that he feels it doesn't matter if he get's sick? Is he trying to tell us it doesn't matter if he gets knocked on his ass with the flu? That we don't really need our president to be healthy and able to fulfill his duties?

How about that it is acceptable to him that American drug companies be allowed to pick and choose what drugs they will produce on the basis of what they may f**k up and be liable for vs. what the American public need? (Better they should stick with producing something safe like Vioxx.)

Or maybe that Bush said we are now hoping that Canada will be able to provide us with the flu vaccine we need. Canada. The country Bush claims pushes drugs that are too unsafe for Americans to purchase.

15. The FRENCH are brave enough to make flu vaccine !
Yes, the French. That's where most of the remaining vaccine is coming from. Vive La France!

16. Good thing that...
... a lack of government regulation means no rationing systems, unlike the free market, (which is rationing free, of course), so now *everybody* has access to health care products, like flu vaccines, because the free market means that everybody has access...

(If you can't see how far my tongue is embedded in my cheek right now, don't respond).

P.S.: My meme above is big and ugly. Better verbiage and simplification requested.
