I just got home from the Debate Watch Party in Tempe
After spending the whole day holding up signs at the CNN and MSNBC media tents on the ASU campus. We headed over to the lake and listened to the Foo Fighters (they rocked!) and watched the debate on the big screens with thousands of Kerry supporters. After the debate John and Teresa, along with family members and the Governor of AZ Janet Napolitano, took the stage and spoke for a few minutes. It was awesome. I'm so glad they had the last one here. There was some article in the Wash. Post yesterday that said "while Kerry gets a warm reception wherever he goes, Bush is treated like a rock star." Well, that writer sure wasn't where I was tonight. When JK showed up, we all realized we were in the presence of more than a famous politician. We were looking at a truly great man. As Dave Grohl said after the band finished their set, "In a few minutes John Kerry will be here to save the world." :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
