1. Yeah, he was pure class |
|
He said no schadenfreude (sp?). It's a sad thing for these people.

3. what does that word mean? |
|
I am not sure.
Besides, if O'Reilly goes down or is found guilty, Franken won't have him as a big ol' target anymore.

Not that I'd know anything about that nor would I get a real kick out of hearing people call liberals' fave TV host, Dild O'Reilly.

5. It means to take pleasure in the suffering of your friends |
|
So it's not a completely accurate use by Franken - he and O'Reilly aren't friends.
Al's response was pretty careful and guarded, and he said he would be taking the high road. Good for Al, boring for me.

2. Yes, he said something |
|
to the effect that it was sad for his wife and family if true and if not true he felt sorry for O'Reilly. Then he said that he (Al Franken) was mentioned in the law suit, but that he was taking the high road right now and will wait to see how it plays out. (Paraphrasing what I remember.)

6. He also said, in regard to O'Reilly's threats against Franken in the suit, |
|
that O'Reilly was "just bloviating. It's something he does."
Al is a mensch.

could be more devastating to a moron blowhard like O Reilly than for Franken to do it this way. It's a class act, and simply makes the contrast all the more stark......

8. It's not like he's Rush |
|
Franken had little sympathy for Rush when his painkiller thing broke out, probably because of his comments about Jerry Garcia, but O'Reilly hasn't been anywhere near that sleazy. O'Reilly is full of it, but he has at least been willing to be on Jon Stewart's show, have Michael Moore on his show, and while he has made his money off being a jerk, I'd still put him above a guy like Hannity.

I'm disappointed. I accidentally slept thru the first hour, woke up in time for Mark Crispin Miller's last segment. I was hoping I would be able to download some comedy gold about O'Reilly on airamericaplace. Though DU has filled the void. I'm still cracking up about "YOU'VE HAD YOUR 35 MINUTES up my ass" being the name of O'Reilly's dildo. I was actually hoping MCM would talk about it, since one of the central theme's of his new book and one-man show is the Right's psychopathic projection.
