Last night's debate proved beyond a shadow of a doubt Bush's
unfitness for the job he now holds. The totally irrelevant replies he gave to questions on his position on minimum wage or why he was presiding over unprecedented job losses showed how disconnected he is from issues relating to our economy. The contrast between his answers, such as they were, and the concise and well reasoned responses from John Kerry gave one a glimpse of what a real President should be discussing with the American people. It was clear he was trying to dodge the questions with preset answers based on education where he believes he can at least match wits with Kerry. That gambit failed miserably when John Kerry pointed out Bush has gutted the grants and loans programs for College students. When confronted with facts, Bush retreated into inanities which even his handpicked moderator was forced to contradict. His other trump card, his religiosity also came across as either phony or shallow when Kerry quoted the Bible on how one's faith is proven with good works. The last place where Bush tried to make his mark, his socalled sense of humor, was easily trupmed by Kerry when in a self disparaging remark he said that he, like Bush, married above his station, but he more so than Bush. The laughter that accompanied this remark dispirited Bush completely and he knew that Kerry had eviscerated him in all three debates.

True to form, Bush will now take the low road with barrage of TV ads
that will badmouth Kerry about everything under the sun. This man who simply has no intellectual or psycholgical resources of his own is going to resort to a scorched earth policy in the remaining time and, failing at that, I am sure he is going to try to pull out another version of the 2000 elections. He simply cannot afford to lose because of the criminal baggage he and his cabal are carrying. We are going to be in a dangerous period until the elections are done.Even then as a
lame duck he will wreak his vengeance on the American and, more likely the Iraqi people, for the rejection at the polls.
