*: "My wife and her daughters"
I missed previous discussions about this if they occurred. But * didn't say my wife and our daughters. No, the children (grown women) are hers. What does that say about him?

3. I heard him and I don't think he actually said "her" --
It sounded like a slightly mangled pronunciatin of "our." Not 100% positive one way or the other, but to me it wasn't clear enough to criticize him for it.

Sure sounded like 'her' daughters. I could be wrong but I don't think so.

HE men who wanted to have only boys. It cracks me up (in a good way) when the higher power usually blesses these galoots with girls instead. Sometimes their poor wives have to give birth to up to five baby girls before these bubbas realize that they are destine to "shooting only female" sperm. The rest of their shallow lives they mourn and sigh that they didn't have a boy. Who says God doesn't have a sense of justice and good humor? <g>

All children are precious and individuals.

10. I am one of those daughters. It's nothing to laugh at.
It's like growing up in Tehran. You're never good enough, you're never right, you're always suspected of being a whore, a nympho, or ugly - sometimes at the same time.

It's hell for the daughters, especially when the father can't keep his f*cking mouth shut about how he deserved a son.

I'm the eldest of 8 - 6 girls and 2 boys, and the boys are step-brothers. That's how my father got his "sons" and he prefers them to all of his daughters.

I can't call it "justice" and "good humor" when 6 lives are made miserable all for the sake of one practical joke from a "loving" and "generous" deity.

I'd call that cruelty.

8. for what it's worth
I thought he said 'her' as well, but the closed captioning on ABC (I was in a bar, after all) said "our"
