Katie Couric needs to get emails for this! Did anyone see this????
Katie Couric just led a very one-sided interview regarding the O'Reilly sex case. She had an expert on sexual harrassment on her show, but all of her questions were defensive of O'Reilly: Why was this lady going to dinner with her boss? Why didn't she use channels inside Fox? How stupid was she to come back to her old job? How can people like O'Reilly keep from being targeted with frivolous lawsuits?

It was like she just sold out the entire female side, saying with her questions that she is 100% supportive of O'Reilly and women should just leave their jobs or learn to like it.

I'm sending an email. Does anyone know how to link her email?

1. Sounds like pretty reasonable questions to me
Interviewwers are supposed to play 'devil's advocate'.

Trust me, if there were a way to trash a rival and do it well, they'd do it. Why do you think CBS was slammed so much over the memo thing? Because they're a rival.

7. TOTALLY Agree...
... and, although I'm sitting here overwhelmingly enjoying watching The Snake have to deal with the charges, I must say that I have had precisely the same questions.

These last few weeks at DU have surely demonstrated that when it comes to severely politically immature behaviour in terms of "my side or the highway," we have more than our fair share of such childishness.

Ms. Couric is asking the same questions which will be asked in the judicial venue - but in a far more gentle manner than will The Snake's attorneys do in cross.

Grow up, children.

2. Typical
"liberal" media making excuses for the repukes and making the victim the guilty party. O'Reilly is a sleeze.

3. She's a Media Whore Extraordinaire
Plying her trade in her fishnet stockings, besmirching the accuser and giving comfort to the criminal.

Nothing to see here. Move along

4. One would think
that the other networks would LOVE to see O'Lielly go down, wouldn't one? He's so repulsive! Not only that, but the Faux News network beats their asses in the ratings. What the hell is wrong with these people? The only one I've seen really go after O'Lielly is Olbermann. I hope Katie is never sexually harassed at work. Otherwise, this will come back to haunt her. :grr:

6. She may well have been
and decided to just live with it, hence her hostility toward someone who doesn't.

It could also just be the typical blaming the victim in order to distance oneself from them. I'm told female jurors are inclined not to convict in rape cases. They want to believe that the victim somehow asked for it because if she did and they don't, they're safe from being raped.

This country would be a lot more compassionate if we were only courageous enough to face our fears of the possibility that we could become victims.

She would no more quit than the woman being harrassed by O'Really. Wake up Couric, its not HER fault its O'Reilly's,why the hell should she quit??

Couric your an idiot, here you have a chance to possibly bring down your competition and instead you lick his boots. Smart.....
