Here it is! My revised LTTE! |
|
The Ultimate Flip Flop On September 13, 2001, two days following the deadliest attack on American soil, President George W. Bush stated:
“The most important thing is for us to find Osama bin Laden. It is our number one priority and we will not rest until we find him.”
Six months later in March 2002 Bush said the following during a White House Press Conference:
“I don’t know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and don’t really care. It’s not that important. It’s not a priority.”
When Senator Kerry brought this to our attention during the third Presidential debate, the President laughed and then denied saying any such thing, even though the quote can be found on the official White House transcript. I am just one of many Americans who fail to see the humor in this matter. It is appalling that President Bush took his eye off the person who attacked us on September 11, 2001 to pursue an invasion of Iraq, an invasion that cost the lives of more than 1000 brave troops.
I trust Senator Kerry to execute a more intelligent, effective war on terror. Thank You fellow DU'ers for your input! It was very helpful. Off now to deliver it to the paper.

3. If you haven't left yet... |

what about changing the 1000 to 1100? I don't think most people realize how many soldiers we've lost recently.
Great LTTE!
