Let me just say that i'm a student and I don't have any money. So someone from the DNC called me and asked for 200 dollars which I clearly don't have. I told her I didn't have that kind of money and she said something like "well it IS your future" and then she ended the conversation. I feel bad that I can't contribute very much money but I figured they'd be a little more understanding. I mean, I can't even find a job. Just a little vent.

Hm that sounds strange to me, are you sure it was from the DNC? Asking for 200 Dollars although every amount would be important. Kind of arrogant the way it went.

I used to give them money and they gave me attitude in return.
I contribute directly to candidates now.
I'm not surprised you got that response.

3. They aren't training these people very well. |

And you could have vented at her. Tell her that lots of Democrats have neither jobs nor money.
And her supervisor ought to be notified. This woman should not be soliciting.

I'd given them 10 dollars before or something trivial like that and she thanked me for my service. I'm assuming she was, they've been calling for a few days now but I've missed the calls.

6. I'm too passive aggressive |

I should have vented but I was kinda taken aback and she cut off the conversation. Plus its not in my nature.

5. A couple months ago I had someone from the RNC call me. . . |
|
I just became disabled over the last couple years and am now on full disability for the rest of my life. This "man" didn't know I was a Dem because I just went along with what he said. He asked me for $100.00 and I explained my situation. I have gone from $35 thousand a year to $11 thousand a year (which is better than nothing and I am thankful to get it). He then went into another speech about how we have to make sure Bush is reelected, the dems are such liars and thieves, they are unAmerican, etc. It took everything in me not to tear his head off over the phone; however, I figured he would just hang up. I just wanted to hear what kind of stuff they are telling each other. I then asked him again did he not hear me explain about how my income is now 1/3rd of what it was? He said yes, he had, but maybe I could donate $25. I told him I don't have $25 in my bank account now. He just kept going on and on and on about the money. He was not listening to me at all. I finally told him I wouldn't vote for Bush if he was the last idiot on Earth and hung up.
I hoped the Democratic Party would have a little more understanding regarding the situation most of the Country is in. I would make a complaint if I were you. Whoever that person is, she is going a little over the top, and needs a little training on how to respond to people who cannot pay anything. Plus, it's not just your future, it's all of our futures, but you cannot get blood from a turnip either.

7. That was not my experience at all. |

I was called yesterday and when the guy went into his spiel I said if he was looking for money to please cut to the chase. He then very hesitantly asked if I could go as high as 50 bucks.

I doubt this caller's attitude was typical, but it was still kinda rude.
