WIN (of course) or lose (if there's a Coup II) |

how do we dismantle the neocon corporate-media-religious-political stranglehold on our society?
Any thoughts or ideas?
I'm feeling good about Kerry winning, but pretty bleak about the long-term prospects.

1. With guns and firebrands if necessary. |
|
But lets try legislation, prosecution, and boycott first.

a little hypocritical, even whore-like? I don't think President Kerry could stoop that low. Even if he tried.

4. A given is that money drives almost everything in the country. |
|
Except for the religious wackos, the main, if not only, goal of those controlling the media, corporate America, and the government is the feathering of their own nest. They need their wealth in order to feel worthy. They use their wealth to make themselves and their cronies (family, etc.) comfortable and insulated from the damage they do to the rest of the country. Gated communities are the most obvious example. I do not think it is possible to fight them on their terms. Air America is one little voice more than drowned out by the rest of the media. Labor and the needs of people who actually work for a living are overshadowed by the power of the corporate owners. And politicians are beholding to those who control the money that puts them into office and keeps them there. I would hold that the only way to fight the powers that control everything is to take the battle directly to them. It will be bloody and there is no guarantee of success. But it is the only way. If a corporate boss is removed from the scene, at the least, he cannot do any more harm. Do that enough and maybe the 25th in line will think twice about moving into the executive suite. People have to realize that change does not take place without effort. And if we try and play by rules stacked against us, we will fail. To make an omelett...

if no one goes to work nothing can be done. We can and should shut down the entire country if bush wins, if he wins there will always be questions about how many registrations were shredded. I'm calling for a general strike if Bush wins, cheats, delays, postpones the election. I wonder if I'll get a visit from the Bushstappo now?

There should be a mass organized effort against this so called war in Iraq! The theme does not stop on account of change in the regime!
