Terry Mac and Jon Stewart both told CNN (Franken now too)
Edited on Fri Oct-15-04 04:40 PM by tridim
to fuck off today. I'm hoping this is the beginning of a real effort to fix the media, because it's obviously broken.

Terry implied that CNN should be covering the real news of Rove's grand jury testimony instead of partisan BS like Mary Cheney's lesbianism. Jon told the Crossfire gang that they are hacks, and he told Tucker to his face that he's "a big dick". He pleaded with them to shape up, because the partisan yelling is damaging the country.

Keep it up guys and gals, I'm sensing a big change in media with these opening salvos. Kerry needs to gut the FCC quickly after he moves in to the White House.

Edit: Franken is now busting on Wolf for being a whore. :)

6. He was a guest on X-fire today. Complained how they are
partisan hacks, who do not hold politician's feet to the fire. Begala said they have an debate. Stewart said he wished it was a debate of the issues. That what they and other media shows are is theater. Carlson, got upset that Stewart would come on their show and rank them out like he did. That he wouldn't insult him on his sow. Stewart said "you are as big a dick off the show as you are on"...cut to commercial. Also pointed out to Carlson that he was a 30 year old man wearing a bow tie, how much theater is that? Begala didn't get into the discussion too much. The exchanges were basically between Stewart and Carlson. Carlson at one point said I thought you were going to be funny. Carlson said something to the effect that compared to Stewart's show, X-Fires questions are hard hitting...Stewart responded, great if you want to compare your show to a Comedy show. JS said people deserve substance in the media news shows, again TC pointed to what Stewart does. JS said come on, you're a news and information show, I have a comedy show who's lead in is a puppet show.

None of the above statements are verbatim, just the best of my memory. But you get the gist.

7. Members of our media ought to be tried in a court of law
The entire media elite should be tried in a court of law for all the damage they've done to our republic.

Didn't the press get their day in court after WWII ended? I'm pretty sure they were tried at Nuremberg.

Our whores deserve their day in court too.

Jackasses.
