Just saw John on Crossfire with Tucker Carlson & Paul Begalia and I am in absolute awe of the man. In a very serious way he took them, their show, and news media to task in general for running shows steeped in theater. He admonished them for not holding the news to a higher standard than a comedy show, for their pandering to partisan politicians, for not holding politicians feet to the fire during questions and interviews. And specifically told them that Crossfire in general was missing a real opportunity, in fact, doing a disservice by not engaging in true authentic debate. Tucker Carlson practically came unhinged when it was clear John wasn't going to play funny man, and called John a drag and a bore in real life. John responded that Tucker was just as big a dick in real life as he is on his show. In those exact words.
