Does Bush have what it takes to be a leader?
I ran across a very interesting article explaing what it does and does not take to be a good leader. I found this particular part of the article to be especially interesting:

<snip>

Leaders who lack humility will exhibit a number of dangerous traits, such as:

Denying facts that run counter to their policies

Reluctance to take advice

Selective data interpretation

Exhibiting anger toward views that challenge their own

Unwillingness to change course, even when evidence suggests the need to do so

Cultivating sycophants

Discouraging risk-taking and the entrepreneurial spirit

Willingness to lie and deceive in order to bolster their positions

Inability to laugh at themselves

Lack of accountability for their own behavior

Also note in rest of the article that John Kerry exhibits the traits of what it does take to make a good leader. The rest of the article can be found here:

1. I suppose it depends on "Joe Six-Pack's" idea of leadership.

Remember, he's likely not exposed to the same information and political resources as you and I.

Regardless, we'll find out on November 2nd, won't we?

3. Bush. He created this mess. Only he has the knowledge to fix it.
(New RNC ad) "I'm George Bush, and I approved of this mess".

5. No!
His 2000 selection was, imo, a very big mistake.

From what I've heard, seen (on TV), and read about JK, I think he would make a great leader. Strong yet compassionate. Powerful yet considerate of others. The right personality to lead and unite.

6. Kerry has what it takes
The article lists all the good traits under clarity, communication, credibility and character. Kerry clearly aces them all.
It's interesting also to read and see if your own boss at work has what it takes.
