4. Oh yeah, that's the big news today, Aaron.

It's not like today's Army mutiny was all that meaningful.

I caught that Candy Crowley interview a little earlier. Does she seem to really dislike Kerry or what? Very snotty.

http://www.vfw.org/news/2002mediaaward2.htm

Kansas City, MO., March 4, 2002)—The Veterans of Foreign Wars has named author, producer and TV anchor Bill O’Reilly as recipient of the 2002 VFW News Media Award. O’Reilly topped the list of nominees for “…better understanding of the American way of life and its institutions and interests by honest and forthright reporting.”

Mr. O’Reilly was presented the award on February 26 by VFW National Commander-in-Chief James N. Goldsmith during the organization's National Legislative Conference, held at the Hyatt Regency, Capitol Hill. ....

Subject: Thanks & send me a picture of your VFW award

Mr. Oreilly... Thank you for using your "bully" pulpit on behalf of veterans... Please find out which of our Congressmen...who say they support veterans and military issues.... blocked the funding of Concurrent Receipt for Disabled Military Retirees... they are all hiding behind closed doors... they passed it, but wouldn't fund it. Who? Why?

Congratulations on your award from the VFW. I have devoted an average of 4 hours a day to veteran issues for about 5 years on the web... putting out news and issues, answering questions, etc I get around 200 emails a day... but I an just one guy... no organization or pay, I do it for the occasional email I get from a veteran or widow expressing a heart felt thanks for some help or info I provided.
Please send me a picture of your award... I would like to see what one looks like.. I have never received any recognition, from any veteran's organization... Legion, AMVETS, DAV, VFW, MOPH, ROA, TROA, NGAUS, TREA, NAUS, VA ...on..and on... too numerous to list them all.
Bill... just say hello to "ColonelDan" or your show just to let us know that you read some of your emails

By Bill O'Reilly

Hi, I'm Bill O'Reilly. Thanks for watching us tonight.

Well, it's been a very busy day. The University of California at Los Angeles has been trying to prevent us from doing a story on the protest there against First Lady Laura Bush. How foolish of them. We'll have that report coming up.

And this morning I received a journalism award from the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Washington. And I got to thinking about vets and human rights. And that's the subject of this evening's "Talking Points" memo. ....

Bill O'Reilly's "Apology": Still Spinning in the 'No Spin Zone'
by Peter Hart

.... Deception and doubletalk are nothing new on The O'Reilly Factor, where O'Reilly struggles to maintain the fiction that he isn't conservative-- while regularly inveighing against the "secularists," the "liberal media," National Public Radio, the ACLU and an assortment of Bush critics. Bush himself, meanwhile, is described by O'Reilly as "the closest modern president to what the Founding Fathers have in mind." ....

But if O'Reilly's in the mood to issue more apologies, he has his work cut out for him. ....

Peter Hart is an analyst at FAIR (www.fair.org ) and the author of "The Oh Really? Factor: Unspinning Fox News Channel's Bill O'Reilly" (Seven Stories Press, 2003).

8. Nasty Turn It Took Two Days Ago
Plaintiff's lawyer sez------didn't look like that.. Faux asked whether they could do an internal investigation.

"It was up till 7:30 at night before they sued us...the next morning they served Andrea the papers."

They NEVER EXPLICITLY DENIED THE ALLEGATIONS.

Bill O'Reilly is a typical sick, bullying sociopath.

I hope he fries.

She looks totally truthful, strong, and I think O'Reilly is dead meat.

14. Guess it is Aaron Brown.
Edited on Fri Oct-15-04 09:50 PM by LibertyChick
I usually don't watch CNN. Aaron Brown? He actually took it down a notch because she was so angry. He said something like "good luck" at the end of the interview, and how at his age, 55, it seems easier than to someone in their early 30s. Don't know what that meant.

like a CNN brother defending his CNN sister against the Faux-Vaders. Which is fine with me.

19. Jon Stewart was tring to make the point that
a story like O'Reilly's is really no story at all. It is just one of the many distractions from the real issues of the day.

That's all I'm saying.
