Saw TEAM AMERICA Last night. Nothing infering don't vote.
Parker and Stone were ripping everyone...Most of all they were making TEAM AMERICA themselves look inept, uncaring and uninformed about the world. BAsically what Bushco are. People ripping into them around here for being Right wing obviously know nothing of their politics and never watch their shows. THey hate finatical regimes and anyone who stand for them, but they do like to rip everyone!! It was hilarious but in no way did it give off the message that we shouldn't vote, it doesn't matter, or Bush is God. Get over youselves. It's humor that some just don't get and that's alright!

4. You're confused.
The "don't vote" comments were made by Parker and Stone directly. I haven't seen the movie itself so I have no comments regarding it.

5. They may haev been taken out of context..or
Maybe they are that disenfranchised from both sides of the isle. I can easily see how that could happen. But their movie has none of those overtones.

6. They're trashing America's democratic system.
That's a right-wing meme. "All politicians are crooks...There's nothing I can do to change it...Voting is a waste of time, don't bother...If we make it easy to register, then that will cause fraud...Everything the government touches falls apart"

If this is all true, why does the GOP spend all that money to get THEIR people to register & vote?

7. my interpretation was that if you don't follow the issues, don't vote..
and I couldn't agree more. The people they are speaking of are the knee-jerks who base their votes on what they see on commercials; the ones who would watch the Kerry wind surfing commercial, and vote for junior. They are speaking to the idiots who vote for shrub because he kicks ass, not because of his (failed) policies. I don't want those kinds of a-holes determining my fate either.
