My 72 Year old Mom is now a Jon Stewart Fan!
For quite a while I have been begging my mom to watch the Daily Show but she hasn't...She is news junky and is committed to CSPAN, CNN and other channels where she feels she may get some news.

But...she has been disappointed for years because the "news" has been kissing corporate ass for years and it just disgusts her.

To my delight I went to her house yesterday to find out that her faith in change was renewed by Jon Stewart's performance on Crossfire. She loved it! She was estatic that someone finally had the balls to tell it like it is.

I have a feeling a lot of folks who thought the Daily Show was for "young folks" are now going to be tuning in!

5. Hey! My almost 70-year-old husband
And me, his 66-year-old wife, are HUGE Daily Show fans. Wouldn't miss it! Manage to stay awake until it comes on at 11 p.m.--a major feat at our age! I have "America: The Book" and it is a hoot. Shared it with my 30-something daughter and she thoroughly enjoyed it. Never too old, never too young for Jon, Stephen, Ed, Bob, Samantha, and all the rest.

Go Jon!

DEFEAT BUSH!!

11. Fortunately for us,
TDS repeats at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. the following day, so if I snooze off during the original broadcast (it happens!), I can catch it again the next morning or evening. Actually, I often watch it two or three times. Love it!

9. My 76 yo Father and Step-Mom...
Both love DS.
They can't program their VCR, and keep forgetting to catch the re-runs, so I save up the best clips and we watch and laugh over them every weekend!

We've given up on "real" news and are so grateful that Jon has this show. I hope he will be able to keep it if Bush is put in again!
